My first attempt at Japanese food. Surprisingly, it went well. My creations usually end up either being too peppery, too salty, or too garlicy. But not tonight! :D My sisters approved my omurice.
So I guess I’ll be the one making Japanese food in my family. Sister’s already got her pick of Italian food. My other sister with American food. My sister, and brother-in-law with Mexican food. And last but not least, my parents with Khmer food, (mom’s being the more elegant restaurant cuisine, and dad’s being the down-to-earth poor man’s cuisine).
And to think, the recipe I used was from About.com, the first thing that Google gave me.

Kotobukiya Bishoujo Figures
1/7 Marvel X Black Cat
1/7 DC Comics Supergirl
1/7 Ghostbusters Lucy
I got these figures two weeks ago. Didn’t bother to post them until now because my room is a mess (and still is). Of these figures, the first one that I saw was Black Cat’s a year and a half ago (12th grade). Of course, I didn’t buy her until now because, the difference between then and now is that I now have extra money (Financial Aid $ :P) to spend on.
After deducting the money spent on overpriced college textbooks, cafeteria food, and unhealthy fast food, of course.

Didn’t actually got into this hobby collecting business until two months ago (well, six months ago actually, starting with military jet kits, of which I have not finished building a single set yet). I usually go on HLJ to buy my stuff, but they were either out of stock or its shipping was too expensive (shipped from Japan). So I tried the next two best things; Amazon and eBay. Found the figure for a good price on Amazon, but in doing so I stumbled upon more Kotobukiya Bishouojo figures.
>_<

So yeah. I bought not one, but two more.

Which now comes to my conclusion to as why I’ve decided to post them up now. Two days ago, Friday morning. I stumbled upon a photo post on Kotobukiya’s Facebook wall. It was a screenshot of the season finale of The Big Bang Theory. In the screenshot, you can clearly see some Kotobukiya Bishoujo statues in the background.

Now, I haven’t watched a single episode of The Big Bang Theory, but wanted to watch it since it premiered years ago. A handful of my friends watch the show anyways, so I’m kinda left out in the dust, but not for long! I just torrented got the first two seasons, and will be running a marathon of it whenever I go to work. Soon, I’ll get the next three seasons, but I ran outta space on my laptop so I can’t download store anymore videos. I was amazed to find out that its already on its 5th season, and (according to Wikipedia) its viewership ratings have been increasing with every season. Wow. And speaking of which, there’s this one other show I always wanted to watch, but never really got the chance to see it whenever it was on. It too is on its fifth season run. And I’m just as surprised that its still running; Cartoon Network’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

I actually was going to post all of this on that Friday, but since then I couldn’t because Tumblr wouldn’t let me upload my pictures in a photo set. It took forever, to the point that the connection to server was timed out. It’s not my internet’s problem (I have Fios!), nor my laptop (yeah its HDD capacity is 16gb out of 289gb at the moment, but I just bought this laptop a year and a half ago, this baby’s new!) >_< Grrr. Tumblr! Go fix your server capacities!!!
So anyways, the hell with their upload photo setfeature for now. :P

Oh look, a lava lamp! :D

I spy with my little eye... bishoujo statues...

First Nosebleed in Ages.

I don’t quite recall the last time I had a nosebleed. Although I do remember having them quite often around 10 years ago, but it was either due to the afternoon heat, or digging my nose too hard.

Okay now for some deductive reasoning:

  1. It can’t be from a recent injury. I haven’t bumped my nose or anything. In fact, I’ve never received a nosebleed that resulted from a fight.
  2. It couldn’t be from the heat. It’s three quarters ‘til midnight, and my windows open.
  3. It couldn’t be from “excitement”, (aka anime nosebleed). When I started to bleed, I was surfing digital cameras on Amazon. To be honest, I thought my nose was getting runny, but then I thought,
“Wait a minute, I’m not eating anything spicy, nor is my room dusty- Shit! Its a nosebleed! Not my clean bedsheets!”

    4. So it could be only one logical explanation. I’ve been digging my nose too hard. Strange though, its always my left nostril that bleeds.

If you hit the chin hard enough, it will turn out anyone’s lights. No matter their size or strength. The brain floats around inside the skull. If someone hits you in the right spot, it can cause your brain to start bouncing around in your head. It keeps impacting with your skull, overloads the nervous system, and you go to sleep for a while.

Working at the donut shop. Another slow day in the afternoon hours. Didn’t download anything else to watch (i.e. Walking Dead, Dexter, Breaking Bad, The Avenger, Battleship… etc) to put into my Zune to view on the TV screen, so I decided to watch some anime (Infinite Stratos) on my laptop.

Sometime later Steve comes in to buy his usual can of diet coke.

(pauses laptop)

Steve (at the register counter) : Hey. Don’t wear stuff with rainbows on it. Only fags wear ‘em (referring to my Rainbow Dash beanie that I decided to wear to work today).

Me (smiling back): Wha? C’mon.

Steve: No man I’m serious. Walk down to any gay bar and theres a flag or something with rainbows.

Me (smirking back) Uh huh.

Steve: Yeah dude. The dykes there, with bulky muscles and all, are just waiting, asking for a fight if you pick on them.

Me (laughing back) Wha? Really? lol.

Steve: Yeah dude. Just don’t wear anything with rainbows on, unless you’re gay.

Steve then looks back at these three customers sitting on the tables; a woman supervising her two old parents and says to me

Steve: Man. If I ever get old like that, I’d kill myself.

Me: Lol, wut?

Steve: Yeah man, I don’t want no nobody taking care of me when I’m like that. Shit. Id rather get a gun and pop it under my chin.

Steve then shows me a hand gester (finger gun), and has it pointing up under his chin.

Like this. You can do it this way too (points gun facing directly at his face), but some people have horrible aim and instead get their skulls scraped off to the side instead.

Me (after hearing this, starts thinking of the scene where Edward Norton in Fight Club shoots himself in the mouth): Say… how did Kurt Cobain die?, with a shotgun, right?

Steve: Pssh. Yeah.

Me: Like how did he aim? Facing forward? under? what?

Steve: Dude, with a freaken shotgun, it’ll shoot your whole head off.

Me (knowing that I had asked a retarded question, knowing full well the obvious answer beforehand): Oh.

Steve: Oh by the way, do you know what color were his eyes?

Me (surprised with the random question): Euh…. no.

Steve (with a straight face): Blue. One blue one way (points to his right). And one blue the other way (points to his left).

Me (wtf moment): LOL.

Steve (also laughing): But yeah, you know why he did it, right?

Me: Euh, no. Not really.

Steve: Fame. Its because of the fame. He didn’t want any of that. He didn’t wanna tour around doing concerts, he just wanted to sing and write songs. Thats all.

Me: Oh.

Steve: And plus, like all rock musicians, he got fucked up doing speed and heroin.

Me: So euh, when did he commited suicide? 1990-what?

Steve: Pssh. Idk. But his music and shit is still popular today. And do you know who else who died young, but is still being talked about and shit?

Me (instantly given up without thinking): No. Who?

Steve: Bruce Lee. And do you know how long its been since he died?

Me: Euh…No? 50 years?

Steve: 1973.

And Steve continues on talking about Bruce Lee and these incredible feats that noone else could do, then asks me if I’d seen any of his movies. I responded, No.

Steve: What the fuck have you been doing this whole time? Your whole life and you havent seen a single Bruce Lee movie?

Me: Nope.

Steve: My gawd man. Not even Enter the Dragon?

Me: No…

Steve: Dude man. What. The. Fuck. Okay, you gotta at least watchthat.Forget all the other shit. Just watchthat.

Well this pretty much sums up my interesting conversation with Steve. A couples hours later, I got ready to pack up and close shop. Got home. Pop my head in my sister’s room to show off my new beanie.

Sister (initial reaction): Why are you wearing a hat with a rainbow on it? You DO know that people will think you’re gay?

Me: x_X THAT’S WHAT STEVE TOLD ME EARLIER! >_<

So yeah. I decide to write my whole experience today from my R.D. Beanie. Brother-in-law walks in on me halfway thru typing this and inspects my hat.

Jose (examining the hat profusivly, skrints eyes): What the hell are they talking about? Its just a cloud with the colors red, yellow and blue. Thats not a rainbow! A rainbow has like… every color!

Me: I know, right!? o_O
